With more than three decades of experience in business strategy and growth consulting, Sujay is skilled at helping multinational companies hone their emerging market strategies and setting up operations in India.
In addition to consulting with many Fortune 1000 companies from Europe and the US Sujay is known for giving business leaders pragmatic, forward-looking business strategies they can count on. He also works closely with the boards of client companies to navigate the process of entering new markets while mitigating risks and avoiding pitfalls associated with new territories.
His expertise extends across a wide range of sectors including industrial, steel, chemicals, petrochemicals, energy, renewable and non-conventional energy, building and construction, heavy engineering, telecom and consumer products.
Sujay spent the early years of his career advising large Indian corporations with diversification strategies and the implementation of many projects that exceeded one billion dollars. These projects were for companies such as Tata Steel, SAIL, Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum among others. He has also worked on projects for multilateral agencies such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, IFFREE, USAID and NORAD.
Sujay also has interests in rural development. As such, he has advised NABARD and the Planning Commission in developing district industrialization plans. He represented First National Bank (based in Connecticut, U.S.) in India where the EXIM Bank of U.S. guaranteed finances.
Sujay holds a post-graduate degree with a Masters degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and did his graduate work at Hans Raj College, Delhi University.
